MD, Singer and President

Musical Director

Mike is the son of Salvation Army Officers and this is where he gained his love of music and his early training. At the age of 15, MIke joined the Royal Marines Band Service on cornet and violin and spent the next years playing at venues all over the world. Following the Royal Marines, Mike joined the Prison Service and ended up retiring as a prison governor. Mike is very enthusiastic in all areas of music whether this is playing, conducting or arranging and has a wide and varied love of many different musical genres. When not involved in music, MIke is by no means idle. He was Chair of Governors at Combe Pafford School for 30 years and is now Chair of the Members Committee. He is also a voluntary caseworker for SSAFA (the armed forces charity).

Singer in residence

Theresa Moorin is a much in demand soprano singer around Torbay. With a wealth of experience, she chooses wonderful songs to suit the audience and is so easy to listen to with her pure tone. Theresa is often accompanied by the wonderful Sally (who is also seen in this picture) and their duet of Supercalifragiliasticexpealidocious is a real show stopper. Theresa raises hundreds of pounds for charities. She is also a qualified self defence instructor with the British Combat Association.
