
Tony Knowles (Eb bass). Tony was born in Newton Abbot and learnt to play in the local Salvation Army Band. Before he retired, he was a local government officer. He now enjoys caravanning, music, photography and cricket. Tony has played for Newton Abbot Salvation Army, Exeter Temple SA Band, Torbay Brass Band and Totnes Town Band. He is married to Janet and has three grown up sons.

Des Law (Eb bass). Des was born in Portsmouth and learnt to play at the Royal Hospital School in Holbrook, Ipswich. Des spent 10 years in the Royal Marines Band Service serving at Deal and HMS Raleigh. Des spent many years playing in the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary Band whilst serving as a police officer. Other bands which Des has played for include Saltash, Launceston and Okehampton Excelsior Band (where he was also the musical director). Des likes camping, motorcycling and listening to music. He is the Deputy MD for RCB.

Chris Sanders (Bb bass). Chris started learning the trumpet at the age of 10 and has been picking it up and putting it down ever since. He always enjoyed watching his Grandad, Geoff, playing with the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary Band and RCB and after a concert with RCB, his Grandad suggested he pick up the trumpet again. Chris started coming along to alternate Wednesday rehearsals and after a change of instrument was suggested, Chris fell in love with the bass. Chris also enjoys rowing, performing and watching theatre. He has two sons and a love of steam trains (big or small).
